KISS licence
🛈 Hinweis
Please note that all information is subject to change, as we are still in the process of implementation. Modifications should be expected. This ensures that our readers receive regular and timely updates.
The NRC will introduce a licence system for the KISS surveillance modules in the course of 2025. In future, the KISS-licence will be a requirement for participation in a KISS module instead of attending the KISS introductory course. The licence can be acquired as an individual qualification and serves to ensure the quality of the data collected in KISS.
In order to obtain the licence, corresponding learning units must be completed in an e-learning portal. The learning material is presented in short videos and quizzes. The correct application of the protocols and KISS definitions will be checked in a final test. After successful completion, you receive the KISS-licence for the tested module for a period of 24 months. The KISS-licence authorises the collection of data in webKess. Users without a KISS-licence only have reading access to collected data.
The learning content is kept up to date by the NRC and all users have access to the learning content for 24 months.
Integration in webKess
We are currently working on integrating functionality into webKess. The aim is to make everything from registration to obtaining the KISS-licence as simple as possible. A traffic light system provides an overview and reminds you to renew your KISS-licence on time.
Basic Courses
In order to participate in a learning unit for a specific KISS module, it is usually necessary to acquire certain knowledge in advance. These requirements are regulated individually and are based on the scope and content of the respective module (e.g. KISS definitions as a basic course for OP-KISS). These basic courses are completed once and only need to be repeated in the event of significant changes.
Transition arrangement
All existing authorised participants of a module will initially receive the KISS-licence for 12 months from the start of the respective learning units. They can take part in the learning unit free of charge within the first 6 months and thus extend the KISS licence for a further 24 months.
In future, new users will have to purchase the corresponding KISS-licence in order to enter data in webKess.
