Surveillance Objective: Antibiotic Consumption Surveillance
Surveillance Principle: Cost center-based
Description: The Antibiotic Consumption Surveillance module was developed through collaboration between the Robert Koch Institute and the Institute for Hygiene and Environmental Medicine, Charité Berlin, to comply with Paragraph 23, Section 4, Sentence 2 of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG).
The module collects the following data:
- Hospital master data
- Organizational structures of the hospital
- Occupancy data
- Consumption data
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) is responsible for the conceptual development and oversight of the project. Technical implementation and support are jointly provided by the RKI and the Institute for Hygiene, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
